The S&P BSE Sensex was up 17 points, or 0.04 per cent, at 41,700 levels. Titan, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement (all up 1%) were the top gainers in the Sensex pack while Reliance Industries (down 2%) was the biggest loser.
All the Nifty sectoral indices were trading in the greeb. Nifty Metal index, up 1 per cent, gained the most, followed by Nifty IT and Nifty FMCG indexes, both up 0.5 per cent each.
In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index was up 50 points, or 0.34 per cent, and the S&P BSE SmallCap index gained 25 points, or 0.2 per cent.
