More troops are likely to be deployed in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to maintain peace and calm ahead of the Eid celebrations on Sunday. The first Friday after the abrogation of Article 370 passed peacefully barring minor incidents of stone-pelting in Sopore in north Kashmir. Section 144 has been withdrawn from Leh and Jammu with all schools and colleges in the Valley also expected to reopen on Saturday. While there were hardly any reports of untoward incidents in the Valley since the scrapping of Article 370, Pakistan again went on the aggressive on Friday.
